Why on earth would you spend thirteen days putting out only two mojo's? Might as well go to the dump and shoot rats with two bags of cheetos. What ever happened to a half dozen floater duck decoys, non motorized, and an honest teal shoot. How do you hunt snows, with 3 ecallers and a rotary machine? Seems like a box of skeet and a automatic clay thrower would be a lot easier.
Good hunting! P.S. You get out of it in proportion to what you put into it. |

Let me say that I would bet Mr. Huntngear is quite few years older than 99% of the hunters on this site! I hunted two days with him last March and we put out about 900 full bodies and socks and had a whale of a shoot for two guys (35 birds). I should also add that we hauled everything by hand about 100 yds and we picked up at the end of each of those days. At about 70 years old I only hope I can get out as much as John and have half as much excitement in my voice as he does when he talks about snow geese!

Not only is the gentleman older than 99% of the hunters on here but he has more love for snows than at least as many. The guy hunts snows more days than almost anyone on this site except for maybe a few guides

What are you out hunting over milk jugs and rags mouth calling them during e-caller season. Hunting techniques have evolved just like everything else does and I see nothing wrong using every tool possible that is within the laws.

I won't add to the flame other than I know this huntingsnows.com site is made up of a great group of hunters that post lots of good information. I have hunted with a few of the members and have always admired their hunting prowness. It is a great site for us snow goose addicts and only a few postings out of thousands really might be out of place, but everyone needs to express their views. Some of us may not agree with them, but hey life goes on.
Happy Hunting to all! |
